Inspired!! and starstruck by world-renowned Music Therapy Pioneer, Dr. Clive Robbins

Meeting and listening to legendary Music Therapy Pioneer, Dr. Clive Robbins, is… to be inspired! We in Singapore are indeed so very lucky to have him come visit and share about his work in Creative Music Therapy.

To all who made Music Therapy Day happen this April: Dr. Clive Robbins, generous sponsors (AB, The Hearing Solution Company, Cochlear and Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple), co-organizers (SGH) and venue sponsor (NLB), members of AMTS, student volunteers from NAFA, and members of the public who supported the event – A BIG THANK YOU!!

  1. It was an interesting session!
Appreciate it if you can guide me on the following..
    1) what is the pre-requisite to be a MT
    – any prequalification required
    – audition?
    2) any local training in singapore
if yes … when is the start/end of application
    3) overseas (Sydney, Melbourne)
when is the start/end of application… audition
    thank you

    • Great that you could join us on MT Day, Helen!

      1. Yes need to go for audition. The entry requirements for MT training entail proficiency on at least one instrument (some schools more than one instruments) – so, some music background is required. 2. There will be an equivalency MT programme starting in Singapore in 2011 – details are still being finalized. Very exciting development – as this accredited programme will lead to the MT-BC credential (USA). Keep in touch and we can connect you to the relevant parties. We’ll also post updates where possible.
      3. Do check directly with school for the most up-to-date information.
      Hope this helps.
